Time Filter seems broken

Hi,

When I select yesterday I get 7 visitors, when I select last 7 days or whole time or any other time I get only visitors from today.

Hi Burkhart,

Which browser do you use? I cannot replicate the problem.

I tried with mobile on Brave and on Linux with Chrome, just tried again.

Can it be a problem if some visitors use www. And others don’t?

Did you try for my site sharingme?

Does the date picker show the selected period? Or does it jump back to today, yesterday, or whatever was previously selected?

It might be possible that it messes up data if you’re on a slow connection. I cannot replicate this problem in any browser regardless if it’s on mobile or desktop on a fast connection.

No, we strip www for the hostname.

Not yet, but I’ll give it a shot

Alright, now I did. Everything worked as expected (Desktop/Mobile on Firefox).

Could you try installing the PWA? Maybe that makes a difference.

But I see the same on Linux Desktop. No the selector does not jump back,

If I select yesterday, I get yesterday, 8f I select any other time frame I get today

Yesterday and today are already 14 visitors and I didn’t start yesterday but 2 days before

Sorry, I was a bit confused, I thought the date picker was broken for you. Now I see what you mean.

It only goes back until yesterday because the dashboard has been created on 2026-01-14 03:37:50.314 +0100 to be precise

But it wasn’t created yesterday, check when I registered. And before it acted in the weird way I described at the beginning

Sorry, but I’m getting confused

You signed up on 2026-01-14 03:33:02.870 +0100. The dashboard was created a few minutes later.

Your original problem was:

I think what is confusing for you is that we only show the data for the past two days?

That’s is because the dashboard didn’t exist prior to the 14th. No matter which period you select, we’ll limit it to the creation date of the dashboard, as it doesn’t make sense to query data before that date.

Did I get that right now?

Also, there sometimes can be glitches with time zones if you do not happen to live exactly in UTC… Which could be the reason it showed yesterday and today as the same date around midnight.

I guess time zones are the reason. I am currently in Colombia and created the account in the evening which was already the next day in UTC so does the filter work on UTC dates?

Generally, yes, but we’ll use your time zone if configured (on the account settings page).
